Financial literacy is for everyone, but barriers exist and persist. Created by Black Moms Connection, the mission to support the Black community in navigating financial systems, increasing their understanding and growing opportunities to build knowledge and financial wealth.
Literacy + Competency = Confidence
The FinLit Universe program objectives include:
Strengthen the participant’s relationship with money.
Enhance the participant’s ability to navigate financial systems.
Prevent being trapped in a negative generational cycle.
Strengthen financial health and literacy.
Increase and improve confidence, awareness, and ability to seek financial supports.
Break systemic racial barriers get better access to financial supports and systems
