FinLit U -

Cohort Four

This program has successfully supported hundreds of Black moms in Ontario and we can’t wait to support and empower moms residing in Western Canada (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia). The program is designed to provide practical guidance on topics such as budgeting, saving, investing, and credit management. We will also cover important topics such as taxes, wills & estates, and retirement planning.

The FinLit U cohorts are facilitated by a team of experienced Black financial professionals who understand the unique challenges facing our community. We believe that our approach, which is rooted in cultural competency and understanding, will make a meaningful difference in the lives of many.

Consider this your invitation to join our fourth NATIONAL cohort!

We start October 19th, 2024, and will run until November 9th, 2024. Sessions will be held every Saturday from 9:00am - 1:00pm MDT with a 30-minute lunch break. Each week we will focus on a different topic, with a different speaker. All course materials will be provided.

Spaces are limited as there are only 10-15 participants per cohort. Participants must be able to attend all sessions live, and complete the required surveys by the due date.

We are also looking for Financial Professionals interested in sharing knowledge on Budgeting and Saving, Credit, Generational Wealth, and Wills and Estates.

****Please note the planned start date was October 5th, 2024, however, we recognize that the weekend of October 12th is Thanksgiving, and a very busy time for families. The new tentative start date will be October 19th and run until November 9th, 2024.
