WHAT IS FINLIT U?
FinLit U is the Black Moms Connection financial literacy program designed for and by the Black Community, specifically for Black mothers.
HOW LONG IS THE PROGRAM?
Each cohort runs for 4-8 weeks, with a new topic and Black financial professional teaching each week.
HOW MANY PEOPLE IN A COHORT?
We aim to have 10-12 participants in each cohort.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The program is free to attend.
WHERE WILL IT BE HELD?
The program is 100% virtual learning.

CAN I ATTEND THE SESSIONS WITH MY HUSBAND/MALE PARTNER?
No. Although we recognize that participants will be at home, we want to maintain the sanctity of the small group setting. Participants will be sharing personal financial details and should be a safe space for all.
WHEN DO THE SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
We will host 3 cohorts a year:
January-February
April-May
Sept-Oct
HOW LONG IS EACH SESSION?
Each session will run on Saturdays from 10 am - 2 pm, with a lunch break.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS A SESSION?
While we expect participants to commit to attending each session, sessions will be recorded and will be available for viewing by participants.
WHAT TOOLS DO I REQUIRE?
Just a computer with internet access. We will provide you with course materials.
