WHAT IS FINLIT U?
FinLit U is the Black Moms Connection financial literacy program designed for and by the Black Community, specifically for Black mothers.
HOW LONG IS THE PROGRAM?
FinLit U National and BizLit U runs for 4 weeks, FinLit U Ontario runs for 8 weeks.
HOW MANY PEOPLE IN A COHORT?
Program participants range from 15-24 in each cohort.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The program is free to attend.
WHERE WILL IT BE HELD?
The program is 100% virtual learning.
HOW DO I APPLY?

CAN I ATTEND THE SESSIONS WITH MY HUSBAND/MALE PARTNER?
No. Although we recognize that participants will be at home, we want to maintain the sanctity of the small group setting. Participants will be sharing personal financial details and should be a safe space for all.
WHEN DO THE SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
FinLit U hosts host 3 cohorts a year, in the winter, spring or fall. FinLit U National operates in the spring or fall on alternating Canadian costs. BizLit U operates 1 cohort a year in the fall.
HOW LONG IS EACH SESSION?
FinLit U Ontario and National: 10am-2pm. BizLit U: 5pm-9pm on evenings or weekends.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS A SESSION?
While we expect participants to commit to attending each session, sessions will be recorded and will be available for viewing by participants.
WHAT TOOLS DO I REQUIRE?
Just a computer with internet access. We will provide you with course materials.
